The Gaming Giant Recruits Apex Legends Lead to Revitalize Challenged Action Game Project Ethos
2K Games has secured a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to lead the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently working on the forthcoming over-the-shoulder roguelike extraction-shooter known as Project Ethos.
Management Transition Comes After Poor Feedback
Brinkman assumes the leadership position at 31st Union following the exit of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' disappointing early showing last autumn.
Recently, the company's top executive David Ismailer notified staff about this strategic move through an official communication, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had revealed the necessity for a clearer direction.
Ismailer noted that the developers is now refining Project Ethos with a refreshed vision, aiming to better meet gamer demands.
Trend of Strategic Recruitment
This announcement echoes a comparable move taken by the publisher in the summer, when they brought on Rod Fergusson from Blizzard to assist with the BioShock development group.
